The Shake: Excella Gione sounds like it should be a model’s name; a Victoria’s Secret Model, perhaps? She’s definitely got the looks to be one if she wanted to. She also has the intelligence to match (if not surpass) her beauty as well. She easily made her way through high school and went on to major in genetic engineering, finishing at a younger age than most. Excella is also very business savvy, paying attention to her family’s very successful import/export business. She joined Tricell Inc., a company her grandmother helped found. She partnered with Albert Wesker and together they shared a vision of world domination. Excella also developed a bit of a crush (blehk!, right?) on Wesker, who eventually made it clear he didn’t reciprocate.

Deal Breaker: Aside from the silly crush thing, she looks like this now.

First up, we have NBA MVPs 1955-2009. It’s appropriate now that we’re at the point in the NBA season where people really start paying attention to this sort of thing. Have at it!

The Shake: Mai Shiranui was one-half of the killer knock-outs when she first hit the scene (her counterpart will eventually get her time here). She has curves in all the right places that most women would die for and most guys would dream about. Mai doesn’t do much to dissuade popular opinion with outfits that show off her body and really, who could blame her? If you got, flaunt it… or at least accept it, right? If someone didn’t know better, they might think that the popular song written by The Knack was inspired by Mai herself. Mai is the granddaughter of a master of Ninjitsu and learned all of the secrets of the fighting style from him, so she’s skilled. Mai has a unique and characteristic bounce to her style. That bounce perfectly complements a body with assets modeled after Fumie Hosokawa and Ai Iijima, which surely makes it difficult for her male opponents to focus during a fight.

Deal Breaker: She’s pretty sure she’s met the man of her dreams already.

Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)

The Shake: The flirtatious Jessica Rabbit isn’t your classic “good girl gone bad,“ but instead takes a deflective approach, stating, “I’m not bad. I’m just drawn that way“ @ (0:48). Maybe that’s why good guys and bad guys alike are drawn (bad pun?) to her. That’s not to say that guys aren’t drawn to her for the obvious reasons. If she weren’t so curvy, always wearing a form-hugging, red cocktail dress and wearing 4-inch heels, she wouldn’t get half the attention she does. Not only is Jessica on the good side of attractive, but the voice isn’t bad either. She rocks the mic as a regular performer at the Ink & Paint Club and no matter what, she somehow leaves the audience wanting more. If you were in attendance, wouldn’t you? If you’re the fun loving type, she also likes activities where nursery rhymes are involved.

Deal Breaker: Not only is she a head-turning showstopper, married to another toon, but she’s been known to patty-cake outside of a relationship.

Mary Jane Watson (Marvel Comics)

The Shake: The beautiful, green-eyed redhead that has proven she’s the driving force of Peter Parker’s (and other men) existence time after time. She’s best described as outgoing, maybe even a little fiery and confident, often stating that a fellow has “hit the jackpot” when getting involved with her. Who’s to say that’s not true when she’s had a somewhat successful modeling/acting career and is just as intelligent. With songs that weren’t exactly written about her, but include her name, in existence, one could easily picture her image when singing one of those little ditties. It’s a nice thought and no one would blame you. Mary Jane even agrees that she’s quite the catch.

Deal Breaker: Not only does she seem to attract a lot of attention everywhere she goes, there’s always this guy literally hanging around, swinging in and out of her life…

Naga the White Serpent (Slayers)

The Shake: Naga’s birthname is “Gracia Ul Naga Saillune,” so going with just “Naga” is taking the easy route. Aside from her beauty and among other descriptions (which come later), Naga’s described as “extremely well-endowed” or “buxom” and that’s not talking about her personality. She is a princess and has the part about being graceful down pretty well. She’s very self-confident (and with that outfit, she’d better be), but also comes off as arrogant because she speaks to everyone as peers (no bowing from this girl), with no one above and below here. She keeps her identity (the princess thing) a secret and only really interacts with one person.

Deal Breaker: She’s been described as an excessive alcoholic, having a massive appetite and a very loud and annoying laugh. Also, her nickname is “goldfish feces.” That doesn’t sound enticing or princess-like at all…

White Queen (Marvel Comics)

Name: Emma Frost (White Queen)

The Shake: Who better to have for the holiday season than someone with the last name “Frost” or aliased as the “White Queen”? You might struggle to determine if it’s the White Queen or a white Christmas your dreaming of during the holiday season, but no one would blame you one iota. Emma is a powerful homo-sapien superior (read: mutant). She used to run with the forces of evil but has since switched and joined the X-men. As such she has made her way to Co-Headmaster while wearing several other hats as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Frost International and as the headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy. She is also a qualified sex therapist.

Deal Breaker: She possesses very high powers of mental telepathy (mind control and manipulation). It would not be smart to engage in head games with her. You’ll lose.

Christie Moneiro (Tekken 4)

Hobbies/Occupation: Unemployed/Student and relaxing

The Shake: She’s the daughter of a Capoeira master currently incarcerated in prison and has been taught the are of the fighting style by a man who studied under him while also in prison. So, she can fight and probably dance a little too. Christie isn’t scantily clad, but it seems that she won’t overdress for anything. Also, she’s got a light-hearted personality, yet she’s considered to be a flirt. If you can deal with that all day, then you’re probably golden. Considering she entered the tournament to save her grandfather from prison, family seems to be important to her.

Deal Breaker: Seeing as how she’s an unemployed student, you’d get to foot the bill for any outing more than 95% of the time.

On this play, the amazing thing isn’t that Mason took a brutal hit and kept going. No, that’s only part of the what gets him here. What brings him all the way is that he absorbs the hit and finishes the play. Once he crosses the goal line, you can tell he’s in obvious pain. He ran the all that way while in a great deal of pain. That’s sheer determination. That’s a great deal of hustle. That’s showing more heart than anyone on the field. For that, many fantasy sports owners thanked Derrick Mason for that particular play.

If you didn’t see this play live (like me) then you missed out. Since then, I’ve watched the highlight quite a few times.

If you don’t notice, Jeremy Shockey seems to give up on the play (but is completely there to celebrate). He was the intended receiver of Drew Brees and yet is left in Kareem Moore’s dust after he made the interception and rolled on the ground. In direct contrast, Robert Meachem weaved his way through 3 oncoming Redskins players, made the initial hit on Moore, stripped the ball and then took it 44-yards to the end zone. He never gave up on the play. Had that play been made in a Super Bowl, it would be a hard argument not to make it the number one play in Super Bowl history almost regardless of context.

The Robert Meachem line

He gets credit for two TD’s which can be argued both for and against. The main argument against being that you can only cross the goal line once, therefore you earn one touchdown. The argument for (aside from being an awesome play) is that a defensive touchdown was scored by an offensive player AND this same offensive player crossed the goal line. It couldn’t be awarded to the actual New Orleans DEF, so Meachem gets 2 touchdowns. I’m okay with it. It was a spectacular effort and should be awarded as such.
